How do I prepare a concrete wall for painting outdoors, although I have access to a pressure washer?
I am painting a wall block exterior concrete, which is the basis for a metal traffic control box. All will be painted. I read on the interwebs that it is best to pressure-wash before concrete ext painting, but I have no access to water pressure washing. I have no alternative? * I could transport some water to the site, just no a hose assembly.
I transport some water there. using a semi-stiff brush, water, and some concrete cleaner (Check out Thompson, they make one) to wash the concrete. Rinse thoroughly (even if it consists only of throwing water repeatedly on it). allow concrete to dry well (I leave for a day if the sun). PRIME concrete with a concrete primer (if not paint mural probably will not stick as much) and let dry thoroughly. not your wall!
