Know any good Steam Cleaner for hardwood floors and easy to use?
I'm interested in something like Pocket Shark Steamer Mop, but it seems 220 degrees that can be bad for hardwood floors. I know something quite similar, but surely?
Wood does not burn to the least over 220 degrees F. The problem is water. Wood will absorb water and do not let go of it for a very long time. "Steam" cleaning uses water flow as a solvent to loosen the soil, etc. and to facilitate its removal. Heat helps in this regard, but the main factor in cleaning Water steam is used as a solvent. Heat is still only water soluble. Thus, some things do well with steam cleaning (materials such as carpets are a example). But you can not use that technology that reacts poorly to water things (wood is an example).
