Can a steam cleaner used on laminate flooring?
I have a lot of laminate flooring in my house. I recently purchased a steam cleaner I wondering if I can use on my laminate flooring and tile and my hardwood?
Best refers to the manufacturer's instructions care, if you can. I would not recommend using a steam cleaner for sure. Laminate flooring looks almost like the real thing and that is because the surface use a thin wood veneer, but all the material is not likely veneer wood at all, but a man made substitute for wood only. These floors will warp Cup and if too much water (especially hot steam) descends into any / all seams and joints. Hot steam may loosen, also, veneer, also from above is just stuck & we use hot steam or heat to remove wood veneer and laminate. You are not presumed to mop wet either and must use a damp mop cleaning and only some. It is best to use steam cleaner and solid tile / flooring Real hardwood (but make sure it is solid / hardwood flooring real). Do not let sales people fool all wood-term or all wood is not solid wood, is wood veneer over a plywood or particle board only (because they are both made from real wood pieces or layers). Furniture makers all use a lot of wood (it saves a lot of trees too), but this term is very misleading and people think that wooden furniture Solid when in fact they do not. Most of the least expensive furniture and there is always wood grain is just painted wood finish only … yes, it's easy to do wood grain and you can buy a kit to do it yourself at home too.
